2010 Statewide Palliative Care Conference

For the seventh consecutive year the Oregon Statewide
Palliative Care Conference will bring together hospice and
palliative care leaders to foster collaboration, community
and promote best practices. Featuring experts from
the fields of medicine, nursing, social work, psychology and
chaplaincy this year’s conference includes a broad array of
offerings such as quality improvement, palliative care
research and pain management.

This is an individual workshop, it is not a series.

In this workshop participants will learn about the physical symptoms of grief and the benefits of self-care and relaxation through the use of restorative/gentle yoga.  Restorative yoga uses blankets to help ease participants into postures with the goal of mind/body relaxation, as well as recharging the immune system.
